A Rib Knit You Will Live In
The whole sweater is knitted in a vertical rib, an even run of raised columns from the neckband to the hem, and that is what gives it its surface and its stretch. It is mid-weight rather than heavy, so it is a comfortable sweater to wear indoors all day and an easy one to put a coat over when you go out. The yarn is cotton-rich, which keeps it breathable for a knit this dense. The shoulders drop and the body is cut loose, so it pulls straight over a tee.
