Zip Up and Go
This is a jacket rather than a sweater: the waffle knit outer is backed with a smooth lining you can see at the neck in every colourway, and that is what makes it a layer you wear on top rather than under a coat. A metal zip runs the full length of the front, from the hem to the open V at the neck, so you can shut it or let it hang open. Two patch pockets sit low on the front for your hands. The shoulders drop and the body is cut boxy and roomy, so it goes over a hoodie as easily as a tee.
